Well, thanks for the great meal ideas :) I too am amazed at how much our society has changed in such a short amount of time. My grandparents sound a lot like yours. My dad grew up child number eleven of thirteen and everyone pitched in for the success of the household. They didn't even have a bothroom, everyone used the outhouse out back or the pee bucket that was under the kitchen sink! At least they did have running water :)
